Finding your way around

This site has literally tons of information and reports within it, but having so much information means it could be difficult for some people to actually find things. We have arranged this site in categories and sub-categories to help you find your way around, and we also have a search facility when you are looking for something specific.

The categories and sub-categories are the same as before. We currently have five main categories, that are pretty self-explanatory: About Papillons, About The Club, Papillon Activities and Papillon Links. There are articles and information within these main categories, so don’t forget you can click on these as well as the sub-categories.

Think of it rather like a filing cabinet; you have your cabinet (the website) and then you have your drawers (the categories), within the drawers you have your information and sometimes you have folders (sub-categories) and within those folders you have more information (articles, information, reports, etc.)

Along the top bar we also have an Events page and access to the Members’ Area, and to the right-side we have, in addition to the categories, an Archives selector, where you can see what was uploaded in which month.

If you wish to search for a specific term, enter your words with quotes in the search box.  ie “Papillon Club” will return all articles and reports where the term “Papillon Club” is mentioned, but entering Papillon Club (without the quotes) will return all articles and reports where either Papillon OR Club is mentioned.

What used to be “What’s New” is now the Archives, which can be found in the right hand column towards the bottom. Simply click the drop down box and select the month you want and it will show you what we added to the site for that month.

Notification of Updates

If you would like to be notified of all updates to our website, we now use Feedburner. Simply enter your email address in the appropriate box on the right. You will then be required to prove you are a real person by entering a verification message. Once you have done that you will be sent an email to confirm your email address. This will arrive in your mail box within a couple of minutes, if not immediately. If you do not see it then check your spam box. You MUST click on the link within that email to finalise your subscription. You will not receive notices until you have done this.  This may seem a lot to ask you to do, however, it is necessary because it makes are system secure from spammers and hackers and also confirms your email address is correct.

When you subscribe in this section it is ONLY to receive notices by email of when the site is updated.

Please Note: If you were previously signed up for notifications, that system no longer works – those who had signed up with that MUST sign up again for the new system.

Members’ Area

The Members’ Area is a separate area from the main part of the website., and we will be adding it’s own help section there soon!

Only fully paid up members of the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club are allowed to view this area. In order to view it you must register for this section first. Simply click “Register”, complete the details and click submit. The secretary will then check the club’s records to ensure you are a member, and authorise your registration. Once this has been done you can log-in and access the members’ area.
