| Dog World | A note from Helen Wheeler, Secretary of the South Wales Papillon Club, asks me to mention that she would be grateful if anyone who won trophies at the Club's Championship Show last year please remember to ensure they are returned in time for this year's show which is on Sunday 2 October at Markham, Blackwood Gwent. If anyone wishes to donate Raffle Prizes please take them to the show and hand them to Rosemary Ayris who will be dealing with this on the day. Helen also mentions that they are delighted with this year's entry, Phil Shirley who is awarding CC's for the first time has drawn an entry of 201, one of the highest Papillin entries of the year I am told. At Belfast Dog CC and BOB went to Irene and Glenn Robb's Ch Gleniren Scarlet Monogram who went on to take Group 2. Bitch CC went to Mrs K M Smith's Wee Lucy of Adinaken. Res Dog CC went to Monogram's son Ch Sunshoo Imascarlet Oscars for Gleniren, owned jointly by Carolyn Roe and Glenn Robb, and Res Bitch CC to Irene and Glenn's Ch Gleniren Starlight Kisses. BP went to Dolly Kavanagh's Denemore Cameo Reflection. To cap the day off Irene and Glenn's Ch Gleniren Scarlet Signature won the day's heat of the Pedigree Chum Champions Stakes and ended up Runner Up overall. The following day at the Papillon Club of Scotland Championship Show Bitch CC and BIS went to Master F & Mrs. M Comrie Frasermar Ice Queen, Dog CC and RBIS to Pat Munn's Ringlands Treasure Story, Res Bitch CC to Mrs. Broadhurst's Temelora Tianna At Thistlemist and Res Dog CC to Pat's veteran Ch. Ringlands Hologram. BPIS was Elizabeth Cochrane's Tijuana Victoria Some Agility news, Lynda Stangle and Alex (Hemdale Alex the Avenger) won the Mini Senior Agility & the Open Mini Agility classes on Saturday 24th September at Wrexham Agility Show. This now takes him from Senior to Advanced Status, and he can now compete at Championship level ''A Champion in the making'', well done both of you. A shame he did not qualify for the World Championships this year, being in such good form. It's nice that Lynda has had something to celebrate after sadly losing her 13 year old pap Denby only a week ago |

| Dog World | I was very sorry to hear that Sue Jones had had a stroke and at the time of writing these notes is in hospital. I understand she had some problems with her speech and it appears it was her right side that was affected. The latest news I have as I write these notes is that she is slowly improving, her speech is getting better with practise and the hospital has given her a walking frame to aid her movement. The hope is that by the time these notes are out she will be back home recuperating so I would suggest that anyone who wishes to send cards etc send them to her home address. We all hope Susie you will soon be back to normal and that you do as the Doctor's tell you!!!!! Karen and Steve Maskell's Kazkell Dillons Dream JW ShCM has I understand qualified for the Kennel Gazette JW Competition semi Finals which I am told will be held in November in conjunction with Discover Dogs. He qualified recently at the Stafford and D C S Show. Congratulations I am sure we all wish him success in November. Karen and Steve moved recently up to the Newark area if anyone does not have their new telephone number it is 01636 659182 |
