Sue Stanbury, Chairman of South Wales Papillon Club announces: “the South Wales Papillon Club are producing a new Year Book, which will be available at Crufts next year. It will feature all CC & BOB winners, BPIB & BVIB (where declared) at Championship & Open/Limited Breed Shows, during 2010, plus a photo, a three generation pedigree, date of birth, breeder/s & owner/s. I am hoping that, all winners who qualify to be in the hand book, will email or post the above details as I do want the publication to be as accurate as possible. The Year Book will include adverts, which will, be open to all SWPC members and will include a pet section for those members, who do not show their much loved pets, but who would still like to show them off in this publication. Any one whose dog qualifies for entry into the year book will not be charged, but all advertisements will be, to offset the cost of printing” for more details contact Sue on: inixia@btinternet.com or 01392 369759.

At Birmingham National Miss A Summerfield judged the breed and found her principle winners in: DCC & BOB - FEORLIG MOONLIGHT SHADOW AT RINGLANDS (MRS P MUNN), RDCC - TIJUANA TEDDY BOY (G & A J BRUCE & BRUCE-JACKSON), BCC JAP. CH SMILELINE SILENZO FARALLE SONIA (MRS P MUNN), RBCC - FEORLIG UNDER MY SPELL AT SHAZZABARS (MISS K F MILLER), Best Puppy - PAPPLEWICK PRETTY IN PINK AT ADINAKEN (MRS K M SMITH). Many congratulations to all the winners and especially FEORLIG MOONLIGHT SHADOW AT RINGLANDS, who not only won his third and crowning CC on the day, he also went on to take Toy Group 3.

Congratulations are also in order for – Harley, Ablazzor Fly First Class to Lynflyer, who has won his final point for his Junior Warrant title.

Some impressive news also on the Agility side, at Beacon Champ Agility show Caeyn (Petitchien Maitre de la Mer AWG) had 6 tough runs, all of which were lovely clears, these included the small Crufts team qualifiers which the team Caeyn runs for won and therefore has qualified for Crufts 2011 and to top off the day, Caeyn had an amazing run in the champ final to win the RESERVE CC and only his 3rd champ class. Very well done to Caeyn and owners David and Ceri, Caeyn is totting up a very impressive record.

Kevin Arrowsmith, (acting Secretary of the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club ) made the following announcement on Pap-net “As a committee we wish to advise members that we will not be using the Papnet list for any club discussions. All announcements will be made via the member's area on our website www.papillonclub.co.uk. You can receive automatic updates from the website area if you register for these on the home page; Enews & Updates section by entering your email address and clicking on the subscribe button. We will endeavour to keep this website updated at all times. Thank you for your support and patience to date”.

Although not mentioned, those members not connected to the internet, I guess, will continue to be informed by news-letter.

Dorothy Simpson is reminding everyone about the Northern and Eastern Counties Papillon Club’s 2011 calendar. “It's time again for photos to be sent in and I believe that a flyer has gone out with the schedules for our show in July giving all the necessary details. If you haven’t received a schedule the details are as follows: 50p per photo entry or £2 if sent by email for me to produce a photo. Closing date for photos is 30 June and all photos will be displayed and voted for by exhibitors and spectators at our Open show. You can send photos in as from now but please no bigger than 10x8. The calendars have increased slightly in price this year owing to printers increase. £6.75 and 75p p&p if required (unless there is a dramatic increase in postal charges) You can order by email now and I will reserve for you or with your entries for the show.
