07 May 2010 - Our Dogs

We had super weather for WELKS and it was lovely to be able to show the dogs outdoors in the sunshine in the beautiful setting of the Malvern Hills. With a good sized well mown ring and a super entry of lovely dogs I was spoilt for choice in many classes. There are some super young dogs on the way up and the puppies especially were delightful. Thank you, to all who entered and contributed to such a nice atmosphere. My principle winners were: BCC & BOB CH GLENIREN STARLIGHT KISSES (MRS I & MR G ROBB), a fabulous example of the breed, such a delight to go over and showing her heart out, I am sure she is not yet finished collecting the big green cards, RBCC RAYOL ETERNITY (MRS E & MISS C ROBERTS & SMITH) a super young bitch from Junior, fine, dainty and very showy. DCC: CH LAFFORD FLY ME TOO FARLEYSBANE JW (MR I & MRS S & MISS E VICTOR & MCLAUGHLIN) a handsome classic Champion with the best of heads, RDCC AVONRAINE ADONIS TO HAVENBAR (MR C D & MRS D Y BRUNSDON), quite lovely B/W puppy with so many breed virtues, he must have a great future. Best Puppy was METAMORPHIC PHIRELIGHT FOR SKYVANA TAF NAF (MISS S C LANGDON), 6 months old on the day and just gorgeous, completely bomb-proof with the attitude of a much older dog, holding it together right to the end to snatch BP from the male puppy. Best Breeder in Breed: Mesdames Morrell and Teague.

I have heard that Sue Morrell has gone into hospital for an operation, I am sure we all wish Sue a speedy recovery.
