The Secretary of the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club asked me to include the following about the Clubs Championship show schedule –“Just to let you know the schedules for the above are available to download from the Club website. Entries close 11th March. Some were handed out at Manchester and the Club show last week, and others will be posted out early next week, together with the Newsletter .Anyone wanting a schedule who wants a hard copy, if you let me have your address I will put one in the post to you. Please note in the schedule from the printers, the definition of the Limit Class is incorrect. They put the definition used for 'Limit Shows' in by mistake. So please delete the words 'Open &' from the printed version. (Meaning, wins only at Ch shows are counted). All schedules that are posted out from now are amended, and the correct version is on the website copy”
Here are some results from the recent Open shows, at Earlestown and Newton-le-Willow the judge was Mr S Payne, he found his winners in: BOB in Raper’s Kenice Dolly Daydream JW and Best Puppy was Raper’s Kazkell Definitely Dazling, who went on to win Puppy Group 3. At Kent County CA, Mrs S Obbard judged the breed, sadly her entry was halved due to the rescheduling of the cancelled Southampton show. She found her BOB in Davidson-Poston’s Powdermill Touch the Future Spinillons who went on to win Reserve Best in Show and Best Puppy in Davidson-Poston’s Panspayon Piper Spinillons who went on to win Toy Puppy Group 3. At Southampton and Dist. Mr N Cook judged the breed, he found his winners in BOB- Mr & Mrs Backs Kazkell Ching Ching For Leighroy who went on to win Toy Group 3 and Best Puppy in Mr & Mrs Pearch’s Pinkmead Lola The Show Girl who went on to win Toy Puppy Group 4. At Blackpool and Fylde Toy Dog, Mr G Corish judged the breed and he found his BOB in Hobson’s Coco Chanelle JW, and Best Puppy in Raper’s Kazkell Definitely Dazling. At Catrine Canine Club, Mrs P Urwin judged the breed and she found BOB in Fraser & Graham’s Northlyte Timeless at Bonmeshay JW ShCM , who was short-listed in the group, there was no Best Puppy. Over in Ireland at Newtownards Ch. Show, Mr. H. Stanley judged both Papillons & Phalenes he found his winners in – Papillons BOB & GSB - Carroll & Newman - Ger. Ch. Denemore Icons Gabi, RGSB - Mooney - Ch. Omaonaig Flame of Tara, GSD - Carroll & Newman - Denemore Euro Icon, RGSD - Ch. & Int. Ch. Omaonaig Fire Bird CW06, and in Phalenes - BOB & GSB - Wade - Serenglade Pick Me Quick at Saoirian, RGSB - Mooney - Ch. Omaonaig Starfly Memory CJW08 JD JCH, GSD - Mooney - Ch. Serenglade Thackery at Rayol.
The Northern & Eastern Counties Papillon Club will be giving supported entry to the Papillon Classes at the Consett Canine Open show. 25th April 2010 held at Birtley Sports Complex the Judge will be Ms Terry Thurman (Lysandra).
Joan Savage sent notification of a change of venue, due to ongoing repair works at the Bonnybridge venue, Scottish Toydog Open Show being held on Saturday 10th April 2010 will now take place at Pivot Community Centre, Glenmanor Avenue, Moodiesburn, G69 0DX.
Carine Rutten had a very good weekend in Switzerland, taking BOB both days with Multi Ch. Powdermill Sweet Touch Spinillons ShCM finishing his Swiss Championship , Carines, Powdermill Touch the Night won the Open class both days so now has 2 Swiss CAC’s.

As we go to press ,we hear the sad news of the death of Carolyne Alward-Chebsey, here is the announcement from the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club's website:"It is with great shock and sadness that the Officers and Committee of the Papillon Club report the death of Carolyne Allward-Chebsey. Carolyne was the Hon Secretary and Newsletter Editor for the club for many years, doing an excellent job and with be a very hard act to follow. Our thoughts and condolences go to her family. We will publish more details as soon as they are known"[/fullfont]
