Sunshine pills were ordered last week in the BN and we certainly came up trumps. Glorious weather some would say a midge too hot for showing, we always have to complain about something.

But maybe Scotland had a bit of a breeze for SKC Championship show but here in Cheshire it was scorching.
The last time breed specialist Jenny Edson (Novastar) judged was at Richmond and that day the water was streaming between the benching, the ring just got smaller and smaller with a duck pond central and mud cakes were on the menu. In fact we had to change rings half way through the judging. So complete reversal for Jenny’s SKC appointment although I do believe everyone scuttled in the tent to ward off the sun rays. Sensibly so.

Lynda Phillips and Elizabeth Patrick must have gone home on cloud nine with their little girl Daisy taking her title. The applause was so loud I heard it here in Cheshire, many congratulations.

The principal winners of the day were as follows: DCC/BOB Alfadl, Loye, McKay & Berg’s with John Oulton handling AM/CAN CH Arkeno’s Ears to You. A second cc here after the first being Crufts. BCC Phillip’s Volpecula You’re so Vain, RDCC Cotton’s Chappell Love Bug at Aporia, RBCC Macgegor’s Meerwings the Swallow Tale by Pyatshaw, BP Magri & Arrowsmith’s Rozamie Fleur de Lys.

The Butterfly dog Club of Scotland held their 50th Anniversary show the same weekend. Waiting for full news of the day to come through so watch this space next week.

Take care on the roads and I’ll meet up with you next week.

Irene
