Well quite a few results to start off with this week. Many congratulations to Lynda Woodro, who had a wonderful day at Harrogate and Dist Open show: under judge Joanna Turner Lynda’s Ablazzor Fly First Class to Lynflyer won BOB and went on to win Best in Show, BPIB went to Raper’s Kazkell Dazzling Lady.
At Worthing and Dist CA, under judge Miss M Hills, BOB went to Cook’s Bedellus Jive Dancing to Julandia, B Puppy went to Davidson-Poston’s Panspayon Piper Spinillons. At East Kent the following day Mr Arrowsmith found BOB in: Mrs Joyce’s Calajoy Robbie MacFluff, B Puppy went to Back’s Kazkell Taepan for Leighroy. At Plymouth and Dist.CA Sue Morrell and Thesbina Teague had a great day taking first place in each class under Judge Mrs a Prophet, then being awarded BOB and Best Puppy with Temelora Runnin Around Sue, who went on to win the Toy Puppy Group, Reserve Best of Breed went to : Ringlands Genie's To Alex for Temelora.At Thames Valley CA, Mr J Daltrey judged the breed and found BOB in Davidson-Poston’s Powdermill Touch The Future Spinillons JW, Best Puppy went to Davidson Poston’s Panspayon Piper Spinillons ( Phalene ) BlueJays Shadow Warrior owned by Karen Farrrel who following on from his BV in Breed last week won, Best Veteran in Show under Amanda Ellis. At Central Cornwall CA Judge: Mrs S Watkins-Steele (Sullews) Best of Breed went to Orchard’s Panspayon Lucky Jim and Best Puppy in Breed to Gilbert and Longley’s Alwenil Wowits Black Jet Gem. At Lancaster and Dist. The Judge was J Matches, who found her BOB in Hobson’s Rosenjon Samuel Whiskers, and B Puppy in Crawley’s Garbreisa Creaginnie. At Jarrow & Hebburn Open Show another clean sweep winning all the classes went to Nigel and Terry Thurman’s dogs with BOB Lysandra's Zxi Ptrian who went on to take Toy Group4 and Best Puppy was won by Lysandra's A'Aqam Psita Kahn who went on to win the Toy Puppy Group. Well done to all the winners this week.
I had a call from Pauline Featonby-Warren, her Hilltribe Moon Flower over Melangel has been awarded her KC Good Citizens Bronze Award, Pauline may be inline for some winning herself as she has been selected as Parliamentary Candidate for the UKIP party at the next election.
Over in the States the Westminster KC Show took place in Madison Square Gardens with Mr Andrew Brace judging the breed, he found BOB in Ch Forevr Errol Flynn, BOS in Ch Queen Bless JP World Idol, Awards of Merit went to: Ch Brevette Boy On The Town, Ch Brevette Kid Incredible and Ch Starsign's Trickn' St Nick, the show appears very slick and within hours of the end of judging a video clip was available on-line to watch the breed judging, if you want to see this log on to: www.westminsterkennelclub.org/2010/video/breed/papp.html
Over in Belgium, at the Genk Show , Carine Rutten’s Powdermill Touch The Night took BOB and later went on to take Toy Group 3. Previously in the Netherlands, Carine’s import Elendil Alouette won her final CAC to gain the Netherlands Champion title.
The AGM and the Meeting of the Papillon Breed council took place this weekend, I hope to be able to bring you a synopsis of the business next week.
The News-sheet and schedule for the Open Show of the South of England Papillon Club has been posted to all members, with these are details of the KC seminar: Conformation and Movement that the club will be hosting on the 20th March in the afternoon following their AGM at Chieveley. This seminar is a requirement for those judges wishing to progress through the judging lists. The cost of seminar which includes lunch is £15, lunch will be served fro 12.30 and the seminar starting at 2.00.
