Grounded Carolyn and David were unable to make their weekend judging appointments in Ireland due to the no flight zone for the UK. At the Banbridge Canine Club Championship Show held at Kings Hall, Belfast Mr. John J. Walsh (Meath) stepped into David’s size ‘nines’ judging Papillons & Phalenes.
The principal winners as follows Papillons: BOB & GSB Carroll & Newman’s Ger. Ch. Denemore Icons Gabi, RGSB Neally’s Sonsirae Grace Be Mine at Carrigteen, GSD Carroll & Newman’s Denemore Euroicon, RGSD Mooney’s Ch Omaonaig Grey Swallow.
Phalenes BOB & GSD Mooney’s Ch Serenglade Flagship by Rayol, GSB Mooney’s Kewen Midday Star by Omaonaig, RGSB Mooney Ch Omaonaig Starfly Memory. So congratulations to everyone.
Michael and Alison Atkins had a marvellous day at Sunderland & DCS with their puppy Papplewick Pinball Wizard to Vlinder taking BPIS. Raoul Smith judged the breed with Mrs Karen McFarlane (USA) taking on the task of BIS. Congratulations to both owners and breeders Jerry and Brendan.
Pat Munn was thrilled to bits with news that came from Marion Hunter of Denita Papillons in the USA. Ringlands Golden Story has taken her crown becoming an American Champion. She gained her major at Tanana Valley Kennel Club Championship Show.
Exciting news also from Australia where Julie Dickinson–Franks was tickled pink that her boy Aus CH Gleniren Scarlet Robin Sunshoo had hit the heady heights of No1 Papillon Breed Leader nationally. He came away with 2 x BIG wins and a BIS all breeds over one weekend.
Don’t forget everyone that the PBDC AGM is on May 2nd followed by the Phalene workshop.
I hope to give a full run down on the events of the day in a future breed notes.
So until the next breed notes keep me up to date with your news.
Irene Robb
